Developer Marketing Specialist
You will spearhead our marketing efforts, from strategy to execution, to amplify our mission of modernizing Wall Street.
About this role
Polygon.io is looking for a hands-on Market Specialist with a deep understanding of how to reach and resonate with developers. This isn’t a “strategy-only” job—we’re looking for someone who can write a blog post, build a campaign, tweet a meme, analyze the results, and do it all over again. You’ll be marketing APIs, tools, and datasets used by traders, fintech startups, and engineering teams building tomorrow’s financial infrastructure.
You should be fluent in the language of developers and comfortable translating technical concepts into compelling content. You’ll work directly with our product, design, and engineering teams to spotlight new features and use cases, grow our audience, and measure what moves the needle.
Responsibilities
- Act as a brand champion, ensuring consistent messaging across all marketing channels.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and product to understand and market new products, endpoints, and features, ensuring market fit and maximum impact.
- Measure and analyze marketing performance, using insights to optimize strategies and tactics continuously.
- Establish and nurture partnerships and relationships within the tech and financial communities to enhance brand visibility and growth.
- Manage and grow our social media presence (Twitter, LinkedIn, Reddit, etc.)
- Occasionally help produce or coordinate videos, podcasts, and AMAs.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven track record of success in marketing roles.
- Experience in marketing to developers, ideally for an API-first product.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to marketing tactics and execution.
- Mastery of digital marketing channels, tools, and analytics platforms.
- Proficient with data, in particular, the ability to independently identify insights.
- Self-starter mentality and the ability to navigate and thrive in high-pressure situations.
- Exacting standards, eager to grow and contribute to a team dedicated to excellence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
